During the 2005–2006 school year, high school students in West Contra Costa County participated in Mobile Learning Institute programs that gave them the opportunity to share ideas and collaborate on short digital videos. Working in small groups (or sometimes individually), the students chose topics of personal interest, developed and recorded scripts, selected supporting imagery and music, and integrated all of the elements together with visual effects to complete their digital presentations.
