Digital Storytelling – Summer 2006 A digital storytelling workshop at the YMCA allowed young people to create self-portraits in the form of digital stories. Participants wrote and recorded scripts to describe themselves and the people, places, and things that have an important impact on their lives. They also collected personal photographs to illustrate the topics of their narratives. Finally, they used software to combine their voiceover tracks with the photographs – plus music, effects, and titles – to create finished digital stories.
