Phillip and Sala Burton High School
2006-2007 Projects

As the culminating project to a unit about mythology, ELD (English Language Development) and SDAIE (Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English) students at Phillip and Sala Burton Academic High School used laptop computers and video-editing software to create short films, or digital stories, for a target audience of elementary school students. During a weeklong workshop the Burton students collaborated in teams to produce films about myths from cultures around the world — always keeping their young audience in mind.
