  Teacher: Mr. Cowan
Grade 8
Period 4 Language Arts

Mr. Cowan's eighth-grade Language Arts class used their digital storytelling project to celebrate the variety of skills they had developed throughout the school year. After brainstorming, student pairs selected a topic of choice and developed an expository or narrative text and included figurative writing and practiced advanced language conventions.

Through collaborative group work, students wrote scripts and downloaded corresponding images. They further enchanced their subject matter understanding as well as technological skills that included internet navigation, file management, and audio and video editing.
