| Ms. Gold's students used digital storytelling to build upon concepts learned throughout the year in both Language Arts and Social Studies. The project gave students the opportunity to explore and create new methods of connecting and sharing their own personal stories and thoughts on their culture. Through the process of writing a script and searching for related images, students used technology to enhance their academic skills as well as appreciate their own individual cultures, languages, ethnicities and heritage.
"Our Culture" also offered students an opportunity to develop and enhance language arts skills that are consistently drawn upon in the course. Through the digital storytelling process and collaborative groupwork model, they were able to further engage in delivering oral and written presentations and revising and editing.
