Teacher: Mr. Becker
Grade 6

Sixth-grade students at Los Ranchos participated in a Plate Tectonics unit based on the California state science standards. Project activities included a variety of demonstrations, experiments, reading and writing assignments, and presentations; then, to culminate the unit, students worked in teams to produce digital movies. In the process, students developed their creativity and critical thinking skills, as well as important life skills including cooperation, compromise, communication, decision-making, and self-confidence.
