Teacher: Mrs. Speaker
Grade 6

Bishop's Peak Elementary and Teach Elementary share a campus, and together the institutions offer an accelerated math program for gifted students. As part of the accelerated curriculum, sixth-grade students were required to research a math-related topic in depth. The students wrote an essay on their selected topic, which they then used as the basis for a digital film.

The film project required students to work in teams through all aspects of production, from creating their scripts to gathering images and determining which of those images would ultimately be used to illustrate the topic. The films you see here are the result of their work.
