During the 2005-2006 school year, students at Ross Valley School District’s White Hill Middle School participated in Mobile Learning Institute programs that delivered technology-focused residencies to their classrooms. These educational programs gave students the opportunity to share what they had learned about everything from Egyptian and middle-eastern history, to plate tectonics, to events that “rocked the world.” Just as important, the programs made it possible for young people to work together to develop life skills, share interests, and present their ideas.
