Oakland Life Academy 2005-2006 Projects

Students at Fruitvale elementary used the Mobile Leaning Institute program to focus on the question “What is it to be an American?” They first explored the immigrant experience from the point of view of different nationalities and different generations. Then they collaborated in small groups and used their first-person vignettes to create voiceovers for short digital films they developed together.
