Teacher: Mr. King
Junior and Senior Art Class

Does an orange a day keep the doctor away? Mr. King's junior and senior art students attempted to find out when they visited The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, a folk-art environment based on the creations of the late Houston postman Jeff McKissack. A scavenger hunt was the catalyst for the students' exploration of murals, an art car, and other works created from found objects. The students used video and still photographs to document the experience, and then, working in small groups, edited their images together with audio narratives they wrote and recorded. As a finishing touch, they added titles, music, and transitions to create finished digital stories.
