Introduction
Mrs. Brewster’s seventh grade class, from Irving, Texas, has been working on a few creation stories and putting them into action. Creation stories were researched and common patterns were identified in many of them. From there we took our research to make our own creation stories, which we acted out and filmed.
Ever since our ancestors where born a long time ago we have told stories to explain the mysteries that surround us, such as death, tornadoes, hurricanes, rain, the seasons and other natural phenomena. To explain them, man devised creation stories and myths about gods and how we first came to be.
Even today, we continue to want to explain why our ancestors made up these stories and where they got their ideas. We want to know if they made them up from scratch or if the stories were passed down to them from other sources. |
