| Ms. Smith's students found an imaginative way to demonstrate their knowledge about the planets of our solar system: the fourth-graders used the digital storytelling process to create "sales" presentations about desirable "real estate" properties in outer space (and even here on earth in the ocean world of Atlantis). Working in pairs and small groups, the Obadiah Knight students collaborated to research their topics, write and record scripts, and collect appropriate illustrations. Then, they assembled their presentations by synchronizing their voiceover tracks with the visual images. Finally, the students incorporated creative effects, music, and titles to polish and complete their digital stories. To view the digital stories, click the images below. |
