Mrs. Contreras’s students used the digital storytelling process to create self-portraits. The sixth-graders wrote and recorded scripts to describe themselves and their hopes and dreams for the future. They also created original artwork that combines hand-drawn illustrations with photographic images. Finally, they used software to synchronize their voiceover tracks with the artwork – plus music, effects, and titles – to create finished digital stories.
