During the 2005-2006 school year, middle-school students at Bay-Waveland School District’s Bay-Waveland Middle School participated in Mobile Learning Institute programs that gave them the opportunity to share ideas and collaborate on films presented their own thoughts and research about the personal and community impact of Hurricane Katrina. They developed scripts, selected supporting imagery and illustrations, and integrated these images together with supporting elements to create their finished films.
