During the 2005-2006 school year, students at Albany Unified School District ’s Albany Middle School participated in Mobile Learning Institute programs that delivered technology-focused residencies to their classrooms. These educational programs gave students the opportunity to express themselves through personal poems. Just as important, the programs made it possible for young people to work together to develop life skills, share interests, and present their ideas.
